Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this email finds you well. I wanted to inform you about a recent development regarding student assignments. It has come to our attention that some students have been utilizing AI technology to complete their papers.
While we encourage the use of this powerful tool, it is crucial to remind students that they cannot simply copy and paste the AI-generated content and turn it in as their own work. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
To address this issue, we have given students until Thursday to rewrite assignments and resubmit them for credit. If a student used AI but failed to submit their own original work, they will receive a grade of 0 on the assignment. The district recently purchased software that allows us to upload papers to check for plagiarism and AI-generated work. If a submitted paper doesn't reflect the student's writing style or voice, it will be scanned by the software to check for plagiarism and AI content.
