Dear Parents/Guardians,
I hope this letter finds you well. We are writing to inform you of a significant change approved by the Strasburg C-3 School Board for the upcoming academic year.
After careful consideration and consultation, the board has approved a modification to the daily start and end times for the 2024-2025 school year. This decision was made to address concerns regarding middle school athletes missing academic instruction due to athletic practices and events.
Beginning on August 20, 2024, the school doors will open at 7:40 am, with classes commencing promptly at 8:00 am. The school day will conclude at 3:35 pm.
We believe that this adjustment will allow our student-athletes to fully engage in both their academic studies and extracurricular sporting commitments without compromising their educational experience. By aligning our schedule with the needs of our student-athletes, we aim to foster a supportive environment that encourages both academic and athletic success.
We understand that changes to school schedules can impact family routines, and we appreciate your understanding and flexibility in adapting to these adjustments. Rest assured, we are committed to ensuring a smooth transition for all students and families.
