Last night, the Strasburg C-3 Board of Education accepted a Proposal from McKinstry to complete our Phase 3 district improvements. This is the final scope of work for the 2022 Project K.I.D.S. $2,200,000 General Obligation Bond Issue passed by voters in April 2022. The following reflects the scope of work that will take place during the summer of 2024.
Furnish and install a new “Reflective Liner System” at the Gymnasium ceiling, Stage area, and
side walls as required.
Remove all kitchen equipment and plumbing fixtures. Furnish and install new epoxy
flake flooring as required.
Re-install all existing kitchen equipment and plumbing as required. Furnish and
install a new stainless steel 8-foot table.
Remove existing epoxy flooring in the entryway and replace it with VCT.
Remove existing flooring at the Gymnasium. Remove bleachers as required.
Furnish and install 8mm Dynaforce System on approximately 7,300 sf of
gymnasium flooring per manufacturer’s specifications. Color to be selected from the
manufacturer’s standard color array. Striping to match the existing layout. Reinstall
bleachers as required.
Grind out mortar (full face) of split face block below exterior metal walls at the gymnasium. Regrout block and install three coats of sealer as required.
Fabricate and install break metal flashing at the top of the block wall to divert water
from split face block at the gymnasium.
Investigate the leak issue at two existing mechanical units above the gymnasium—the investigation will include a water pressure test and checking of unit seals and penetrations.
Touch-up of painting as required in affected areas.
