Dear Parents and Guardians,
The Strasburg School Music and Art Departments will be presenting the 2022 Winter Concert and Art Show, Time for Christmas, on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. in the gymnasium at Strasburg School. A variety of Christmas musical selections from around the world will be performed. In case of a weather-related school cancellation on that day, the make-up date is planned for Friday, December 9, 2022 at 7 p.m. I hope you will be able to attend and bring friends and family with you for a fun and entertaining evening. Your students have been working very hard to prepare their music for your enjoyment. Your attendance at the concert is the best reward for them, and shows appreciation for their efforts. I am very proud of our students and the hard work they’ve put in for this program.
Please have your students dress nicely. (Refer to the student handbook for guidelines for appropriate attire.) Please do not send your child in a T-shirt with graffiti. Boys in “Men in Black Hats” need to wear dark pants, a white shirt, and a bow tie or string tie. I have 2 bow ties at school that may be borrowed.
All band students need to be in place in the gym with their instruments and ready to play by 6:20 p.m. Students grades K through 2 will meet in the Kindergarten room, students in grades 3 through 5 will meet in Mrs. Silva’s room, and non-band students in grades 6 through 8 will meet in Mrs. Monday’s room. Students not in band need to arrive by 6:45 p.m., but no earlier than 6:30.
