Dear Strasburg C-3 Families,

As we prepare to launch the 2025–2026 school year, I want to extend a warm and enthusiastic welcome to each of you. I hope you’ve had a wonderful and restful summer, filled with time for both relaxation and connection. We are thrilled to begin another year of learning, growth, and community with our students and families.

We look forward to welcoming all students back to school on Wednesday, August 19th, 2025. Our teachers and staff have been working hard behind the scenes to prepare classrooms, enhance programming, and ensure a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for every child.

📅 Open House – August 14, 2025 (5:30 PM – 7:30 PM)

Please join us for our annual Open House on Thursday, August 14th, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. This is a great opportunity to:

  • Meet your child’s teachers and support staff

  • Tour the school and visit classrooms

  • Drop off school supplies

  • Add funds to lunch accounts

  • Pay technology insurance and planner fees (grades 3–8)

  • Talk with ECCO Ride regarding transportation

  • Learn about new programs and updates

We encourage all families to attend and help us kick off the school year with strong school-home partnerships.

🕒 School Day Schedule

This year, the daily schedule remains:
Doors Open: 7:40 AM
Instruction Begins: 8:00 AM
Dismissal: 3:35 PM

Middle school students involved in athletics at Pleasant Hill or Kingsville may be signed out for practices (2:45 PM for Pleasant Hill, 3:10 PM for Kingsville). These early releases only impact RTI/WIN (study hall) time and will not count against attendance. Please note that families are responsible for transportation to and from athletics at these locations.

🚌 Transportation Updates

We are pleased to share that the Pleasant Hill School District will be providing transportation for Strasburg high school students attending Pleasant Hill this year. Additionally, Strasburg C-3 will continue to provide transportation for high school students attending Lone Jack, as we have in previous years. If you have any transportation-related questions or need to confirm eligibility, please contact the office or speak with ECCO Ride representatives at Open House.

📝 Online Enrollment

Online enrollment for returning students runs from July 15 through August 15, 2025. New families or those needing assistance can visit the school from August 4th–7th between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Instructions are available on our website under the Enrollment section of the Parent-Student Resources tab.

🍽 Meal Prices Update

Due to increased costs, the following updated meal prices will be in effect:

  • Student Breakfast: $2.00

  • Student Lunch: $2.40

  • Milk (a la carte): $0.50

  • Second Entrée: $1.75

🎭 New Elective Courses for Middle School

We are thrilled to expand our elective offerings for students in grades 6th–8th! New options include:

  • PLTW: Design and Modeling

  • Journalism (Newspaper & Yearbook)

  • 21st Century Business: Mathematical Foundations

  • Speech & Drama

  • Musical Theatre

  • Coding

  • Keyboarding

We’ve also restructured our elective schedule to promote cross-grade collaboration and increased opportunities for elementary students to explore elective areas.

👋 New Staff & Role Updates

We are pleased to welcome new and transitioning staff members to our Strasburg family:

  • Mrs. Breanna Miller will serve as our full-time Kindergarten teacher (formerly our PAT instructor).

  • Ms. Jenna Marconett will now serve as our Parents as Teachers (PAT) coordinator and will assist in K–1st classrooms on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays while completing her degree at UCM.

  • Ms. Adalain Howser, a graduate of the College of the Ozarks and a former 1:1 aide at East Lynne, will join us as our new 5th Grade teacher.

Please take a moment to welcome and support these educators as they begin or continue their journey at Strasburg C-3.

Thank you for being a vital part of our Strasburg community. We are excited to partner with you this year to provide every child with a safe, challenging, and enriching educational experience. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Enjoy the rest of your summer—we can’t wait to see you soon!

Respectfully,
Mr. Harrison Campbell

Section 162.207 of SB68 prohibits student possession or use of portable electronic communication devices, including cell phones and SMARTWATCHES, during the school day.

📱⌚ These devices — defined as anything used to send, receive, store, or view communication, information, images, or data electronically — must be powered off and put away during school hours.

This law goes into effect this school year. If you need to get a message to your student, or need to talk to your student, please call the office. There is a phone in the office designated for student use.

Help us create a focused, distraction-free learning environment!
